I was never truly outdoorsy as I grew up, although I was outside often playing tennis, BMX biking, or marching in the band. This changed slowly over two summers between years in college when I lived in France and Louisville, KY. Excited about the trips I had been on those two summers, I came back to school and decided to start climbing with Georgia Tech's Outdoor Recreation program. I then commenced spending all my free time climbing or backpacking, which I still do. While I have graduated and moved away from Atlanta, ORGT deserves credit for much of my skills and experience that enable me to adventure with controlled risk on my own now. My current residence and engineering job in Colorado Springs have given me incredible opportunities to explore the Rockies and convene with friends.
